Construction is trash
Unwearable. Stan Smiths are my go to for decades and this pair is a torture device. The construction is terrible. There’s a huge glob of glue and thread and material situated behind the inner grommet closest to the big toe, making wearing these impossible. (The package didn’t reach me in time to be able to make a return, which was just bad luck on my part but if I’m stuck with these then I’m writing an honest review). I don’t know if this is a design choice to have all the layers of construction terminate as a hard blob that digs into the top of my big toe but I hope this isn’t the new normal for Stan smiths. I checked my previous pairs and it’s smooth. Since I can’t get my money back, these are landfill now.
